FREE PATTERN: Bordered Headwrap with Flower
Hey hey!
So I know I'm not the only one who started out making super simple and kinda wonky headbands when we first learned to crochet, right? That and scarves, yes?
Well, here's a pattern that I hope is slightly more sophisticated than those valiant first attempts. If any of you want to make one too, here ya go!
Materials:
US H (5.00 mm) crochet hook (for the headband and US G (4.00 mm) crochet hook (for the flower)
Worsted Weight yarn (I used Vanna's Choice, but any WW yarn will work)

Tapestry needle
Special Stitches:
dc-2-tog: (yarn over, insert hook into next stitch, pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through 2 loops) 2 times, yarn over and pull through all 3 loops on hook.

I love this pattern!!! it is so easy to make and all my friends love them :)
ReplyDeleteI am so glad! Thanks for the comment :)
DeleteI want to thank you for the fun, really simple to make pattern! I have a feeling I will be making lots of these:)
ReplyDeleteDid you make the one in the example pictures crocheting into
the back loop only? It appears to have ridges. Love your color
combo as well! I am making a light grey with black trim one
right now as a Christmas gift for my daughter-in-law.
Thank you again!!
Hi Annie! I am so glad you are making them and loving them! I didn't work in the back loop, the ridges actually come from the double crochets. If your yarn is darker than mine, it might not show up as well. Hope this helps!
ReplyDeleteLoving this pattern!! I'm making them for the girls in the youth group. Thank you so much for sharing!!! I have a question about the pattern. It says to chain 2 and double crochet across in rows 10-34, and then it picks up again at row 33. So am I only supposed to double crochet across from row 10-32?
ReplyDeleteSorry about that! No, do all the rows from 10-34, then continue on as if it were row 35. So glad you are liking these :)
DeleteOk, thank you so much!!:)
ReplyDeleteI just came across you pattern. While working on it I realized that your row nine and my row nine are a stitch apart from each other. Did I do something wrong? At the end of the row I had an additional stitch. I worked it and am continuing on, but wanted to as about it while I was here.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the pattern for such a beautiful and simple headwrap.
